More than half of the mental health disorders will begin by the age of 14 and 75 % by the age of 24. At some point in their lives, half of all adolescents will have experienced a mental health disorder.
Early detection is important because it combats future health and mental well being. Mental Illness is treatable and should be done as early as possible.
Nearly one-third of youth will have experienced an anxiety disorder. An anxiety disorder is being nervous or uneasy. All of these symptoms are at an extreme level and come on at a moments notice. There are many different types of anxiety disorders, some include generalized anxiety disorder, phobias, social anxiety, and panic disorder.
Feeling down from time to time is a normal feeling. In high school, bodies go through major changes and it can cause stress.
