It’s a Great IDEA: Module #4 – The Right of Students with Disabilities to an Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
Under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), children with disabilities are entitled to a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE), which includes the creation of an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). This module will explore the criteria for qualifying for these specialized, tailored educational services. Participants will learn about the various services involved, such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, and special resource room assistance, as well as how a child’s progress is monitored and annual goals are set. This presentation is designed to help participants understand the comprehensive scope of an IEP and how it supports the educational development of children with disabilities. https://www.facebook.com/popinfl
