A project of the VA Department of Education, the I’m Determined website offers resources for youth, families, and educators around self-determination. Self-determination is about youth with disabilities taking control of their lives. Resources include videos, modules, a transition guide, downloadable brochures, and more.
Access the website at: http://www.imdetermined.org/
To give you a sense of what you’ll find on this website, here are the titles of the I’m Determined modules:
There are articles and briefs for parents (e.g., Critical Decision Points guide); short videos of youth telling their stories about self-determination; and various fillable templates families and professionals can download and use (e.g., goal planning).
