In this workshop:
Per the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF), Substitute Decision-Making gives guardians the right to make personal decisions on behalf of an individual living with a disability.
In Contrast, Supported Decision-Making is a person-centered approach that empowers individuals who live with a disability to lead the decision-making process, which studies show offers a better quality of life for individuals living with disabilities. Join us in this workshop and we discuss strategies to move from Substitute Decision-Making to Supported Decision-Making.
