Online Event – Being the Best Advocate for Your Loved One and Family
June 16 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Hosted by FAU Center for Autism and Related Disabilities
As a parent or caregiver of an individual with a disability, it is critical to understand the laws that protect them. Join us as Lisa Math, Director of Family S.T.A.R. program for Family Network on Disabilities, reviews the most important laws and what impact they have on the lives they protect. Participants will also learn effective strategies to organize and document the necessary information that must be saved. Also in this presentation, caregivers will learn how to create the story they want to share about their loved one, and how to be a stigma fighter in the process.
Advanced registration for this event is required. Please note, trainings may be rescheduled due to low registration.
